Scarcity and quality of water remains to be one of the key risks to health and overall sustainability of the rural communities in Pakistan, particularly in lower riparian areas. iSHED in 2011 initiated its clean drinking water project involving; development
Starting 2011 iSHAD with the sponsorship of Association of Physicians of Pakistan Descent of Kentucky and Indian (APPKI) launched the Clean Drinking Water initiative in rural Sindh. The initiative involves following activities:
- Installation and Training of WaterSteps M100 Water Chlorination Systems.
- Health and Hygiene training.
- Extraction and distribution systems using ground water resources.
- Water preservation and management.
